My dog is making weird hacking noises and panting?

It sounds kind of like he's trying to throw up, but it's been going on for the past 20 minutes. I gave him water and even opened his mouth and looked inside but couldn't see anything obvious stuck in there.Whta do i do?

i think he might have eaten some plastic things around the room, visiting an vet is a best way! For now, try hitting little hard on his back of the neck, may be the particle will come out or will go down in stomach:* take him to road to get a fresh breath, and sit next to him and give a support to encourage him!:):):)Good luck:)

If this is not a continuing this then he probably just has a hairball... If this is something thats been going on for some time then it sounds like Kennel Cough and he should see a vet immediately. Kennel Cough is VERY contagious and can be passed from dog to dog very easily. Call your vet if he doesn't stop.AND DO NOT HIT HIM ON THE BACK OF THE NECK!! IF YOU ARE GOING TO TRY AND SIMULATE PATTING A PERSON ON THEIR BACK TO GET SOMETHING OUT OF THEIR THROAT THEN YOU WILL NEED TO PUT THE SAME KIND OF PRESSURE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE RIB CAGE. Look up how to do that on youtube and make sure you don't use too much pressure or you could seriously injure your dog.

Move your fingers along the the bottom part of his neck ( make sure to do this so it is as if u are trying to push the particle down) put a little bit of pressure..after u have done this for about 5 mintutes give him some water ad watch him ifhe starts doing tha again repeat if the second tme is unsuccessful..call the vet
