I cant believe he jumped out the window?

My puppy a pitty mix 10 months old was in the car and we were going to the vet.I had the windows half way down but i had him on a leash.But he wanted to jump out...well we got there and i got out the car i let go of the leash to get out and go get him.In the mean time he flys out the car window...and hes a big 65 pound dog...i still cant believe he did it

It's a good thing the window wasn't up. I've heard of frightened dogs diving through plate-glass windows. Really not a good idea.

Dogs do risky things. That is why it is important to hold them or keep the windows closed in a car. If I didn't hold tightly to my dog, he would jump out the window too.

Is there a question in here somewhere? Next time, roll the windows up, before you get out of the car to go get your dog. I just hope he didn't hurt himself!

When I was young and lived at home with my parents, I had a German Shepherd named Kelly. I showed her in conformation and obedience. She went everywhere with me, even to work at a gas station, she just laid quietly behind the counter for my shift. One afternoon I forgot something in my car and ran out to get it. I shut the door out of habit. Kelly jumped out of the upstairs window, hit the roof of my car parked on the street below and got up like nothing happened. I never forgot to bring her along again... Dogs!
