    • You might have to call in a professional to get rid of the fleas. This way you will get rid of the eggs. Have you washed all of the puppy's blankets, bedding etc. I find frontline to work the best for fleas and ticks.

    • Frontline doesn't work. Get ADVANTIX. It is quite expensive, but works well. You have to kill the fleas in the house and on the dog at the same time. Give the dog a bath with Dawn dishwashing liquid. Don't use to much because you will have difficulty rinsing it off the dog if you do. Go to the store and get some RAID flea bombs. Follow the directions to place them around your house. In about a week, bomb the house a second time. That should take care of the problems. You have to use the ADVANTIX once a month to keep it effective.

    • Brewers yeast. You can buy it at most pet stores or a health food store. I give it to my 7 month old pomeranian mixed with a little cottage cheese. It keeps fleas away and is also great for your puppies skin and coat.

    • Don't get a flea collar. Wash your dog's bedding every other day in hot water and dry in a hot dryer. Vacuum your house everyday and try something natural like Diatamacous Earth. Any shampoo will kill fleas if left on the dog for 10 minutes. Some people swear by the blue color Dawn dishwashing detergent on dogs with flea infestations, but make sure you really rinse and rinse and rinse to leave no residue behind.Robinhttp://www.banditsbuddies.com

    • 1) Take the dog to the vet for a complete & professional flea bath. Board the dog while you2) Flea bomb the house. I had the best luck using a professonal service instead of doing it myself.Bombing usully needs to be done 2 or 3 times. The first time kills living fleas but not eggs (nothing kills the eggs). The 2nd application kills the newly-hatched eggs before they can lay new eggs. If further applications are needed it's because some of the new fleas got the chance to lay some eggs. The reason I say to use a service is that they know the maturation cycles of fleas and can return at the appropriate times. For any bombing done after the 1st one, you and your pet(s) will have to leave until the dust settles. Also, if repeated visits are needed, they are usually already covered under your contract. In the long run, this method is less costly both in time and money.Of course, wash all pet bedding in HOT water. Bedding should be washed as often as you wash your own. Continue with any flea products your vet recommends (bathing, meds, collars).Good luck to you. May you & the puppy be itch-fee soon!

    • Try Comfortis from your vet. I had the same problem and have used all the other brands. This stuff is a pill that you feed the dog and in about 45 minutes the fleas rise to the top of the fur and are unable to jump or bite. I will never go back to the stuff you appy to the skin. Call your vet and ask about it. It really rocks and our flea problem has went away.

    • Go to Canadavet.com It is less expensive, but you do have to wait up to 2 weeks. They have several flea control products. Also, you can get a flea comb. Comb the fleas out of his/her fur.
