I was wondering if anyone could tell me whats the matter with my dogs tail?

For some reason he is keeping his tail between his 2 hind legs. He will not raise it. Im taking him to the vet tomorrow. Was just wondering what could be wrong. I just noticed it today. He hasn't been rough housing or anything to hurt it. Its not like him not to raise his tail and wag it.

Can he move it at all? I had a cat that broke her tail and I had to have it removed.

He is probably scared and afraid about something. Maybe someone mistreated him.

The dog may have hurt it or the dog might be scared...if the dog can't move is tail then the dog needs to see a vet...

i think he is uncomfortable, has their been a change in his life or your family, cuz when mu sister moved out my dog was acting like that, try to comforte him, see if you can touch his tail, if he has a bad reaction, somethings wrong. Hope that helps, good luck!

This happened to a friend of mines pit mix and he took him to the vet and the vet said that he basically stubbed his tail, something similar to us stubbing our toes.

Did you raise him from a puppy? Were the old owners mean? How long have you had him? He could have been abused...

He's probally nervous .Did u raise this dog from birth or was it adopted.It could be that it was abused as a puppy .Or just feel's very uncomfortable in his surroundings.

my guess is he broke it has he fell at anytime between march and december.how old is the dog because if its old than it could be because of old age.thank you for asking but i might not be right because i am just 8 years old.do you know any good beagle basset hound puppy names cause i just got a baby beagle&basset hound and have no name for her i got her 19 minutes ago

He's probably not feeling well. Normally scared dogs put their tail between their legs but since he's not scared of anything, he is probably sick.
