I am thinking of getting another dog in maybe a couple years or so, and I would love to have some recommendations. I'm doing my research early :)I currently have 2 German Shepherd mixes (that I got from the pound) (I believe that they may also be mixed with Border Collie). I am looking for a pure bred dog this time.Size range: Australian Shepherd to German Shepherd (medium to large breeds)I am looking for a breed that is loyal and smart, not independent and aloof.(Breeds that are loyal but independent such as the Jindo are a "no".)Exercise is not a problem (I walk, jog, rollerblade, and bike with my dogs), but breeds such as the Akbash dog that need to live on acres of land are a "no".I do not want a "heavy" body type such as Pitbull, but rather "lighter" body type such as the Golden Retriever and Border Collie.Coat (not hair = poodle) should be medium to long. No very short haired coat such as the Mastiffs.(Finally,) too much drool (such as the Saint Bernard) is a "no", and I would rather have a higher energy dog.Suggestions please... Thanks!

    • I have a Siberian Husky that is very smart. They have a fur coat not like a poodle hair. They don't even drool. They are medium to large. I would do research if I were you. But I can post you a picture of the breed: http://www.kennels.co.uk/images/W.SiberianHusky.jpghttp://www.dogbreedinfo.com/art/Siberian%20HuskyArt.jpg

    • I would say a Malamute. They are sweet dogs. They do like to get exercise but aren't hyperactive. They don't drool much. They have medium hair that isn't hard to take care of.
