    • My brother's cat got something like this... We figured out that she was allergic to plastic. Does he eat out of plastic bowls? Maybe try chaning all of his bowls to stainless steel. Also, I would try a different vet. Get a second opinion.

    • Sorry, your vet couldn't figure out what it was? - go back, or better yet, change vets!!! Websites are not the answer and can lead you up the totally wrong path (and probably worry you unnecessarily too).

    • yep read some of the answers and listen to the one about plastic, we use metal bowls now, if you had to cram you face into the bottom of a dish would you want it to be a plastic or metal bowl, after a while the plastic frays from the teeth getting the last of the food, and these little pieces stick into the chin and get infected, makes sense huh. we had a dog that went thru that we learned glass or metal only......

    • Change vets....... you cant ask unqualified people like us, this is your dogs life... If you`re baby had the same symptom, you would`nt come home and go on a website!.. you would be demanding another doctor there and then..

    • It could be an infected hair follicle. If it is, it should break and drain soon. If it doesn't drain within the next week or so, take your dog to another vet, as it could also be a tumour.

    • You need to find yourself a new vet! If this one can't figure out what it is, then maybe the new one can! We cannot diagnose your dog over the Internet. We are not vets!
