Is it ok to give your dog milk to drink every now and then?

We've a 3 year old Yorkie and it's always water we give her but we have given her milk sometimes, very, very seldom. Anyway, just wondering is it ok to do that or shouldn't dogs drink milk? Thanks.

Only if it's chocolate milk.

A dog can milk and handle it just fine. If it does no have any vomiting or diarrhea problems then I see no reason not to continue!

Im quite sure dogs are lactose intolerant. So give them puppy/dog milk instead. Just to be on the safe side

its not the best thing to do as it can give the diarrhea, but a small amount every now and the should be fine

Many dogs are lactose intolerant and do not need milk once they are weaned from their mothers milk. don't take a chance, most dog food has all the nutrition and calcium needed for your Yorkie.

If you want to give your dog milk, use goats milk or lactose free milk. Not plain cows milk.Some, not all dogs are lactose intolerant.

If she tolerates and enjoys it, fine. She does not need it nutritionally, so give sparingly for a special treat. We had a lab mix who adored milk for a treat.

Dogs are lactose intolerant. Give her a dog treat instead. Milk can upset their stomach and cause diarrhea and vomiting, which isn't a very nice treat for her or you!
