What are some fun things to do while I'm riding to take the 'boring' out of them while keeping my horse from getting bored as well? And on days I don't ride, I do a little bit of ground work with her, but I've run out of ideas. Any fun things or games I could do with her?

    • Someone just asked a similar question! (:1) You can lunge over ground poles, jumps, etc. Desensitize her to EVERYTHING. Tarps, bags, vehicles, ect.2) You can teach her to bow, say yes/no, pick something up for you, snort3) When Riding you can try letting go of the reins (if you trust your horse). Ride bareback alot too! Carry a claw thingy with you if your horse doesn't mind, and pick up ditch trash! Sometimes it's a challenge to pick it up!:P It'll give you better balance too! Try riding without stirrups. Ride in different patterns, spell out words on the ground when your ride. Ride to music, and make little 'shows.' where your horse moves to the beat. It will help your syncronize with your horse.4) I think it's alot of fun to put my horse in a halter and make the leadrope into reins. Then I ride her around the yard and we find yummy plants for her to munch on!(: Just sitting on your horse in it's stall while it eats it's hay is alot of fun too!(:
