What is the best resource to learn more about my parrot?

I am the third owner of my parrot. She is green with a yellow patch on her head. I think she is amazon but I haven't been able to confirm. She has red and blue on her wings. I have seen pictures that look like her but How do I determine her exact species? I want to know her approximate life span etc. She is 15 yrs per the previous owner.

You will not only learn what species your bird is but much about her behavior, nutritional needs are and any other questions you may have. From what you say, your amazon could either be a yellow naped; double yellow head or one of the yellow fronted species. Amazons live about as long as humans do. Good nutrition is the key to longevity.
