    • No clue most people probablly don't live close to you I'm in a total different country ! - 1 ) if you want a good vet ask friends with pets , neighbours , peole walking their dogs, relatives etc 2) or your dogs breeder , or even go to a dog show & ask around. if all else fails contact your local/ national vet assoation & search for membrs inb good standing in your area

    • A great way to find a good vet is to ask your local animal shelter, honestly. I work at a shelter and we end up getting animals that have been to vets but need to be given up, those that haven't and we also do vet checks on people that we adopt out to. Just from talking to so many different vets about their clients, the people that love animals, and seeing records of what is done you can get a really good feeling for which vets go the extra mile in care and those that just vaccinate and will stitch up a cut. Tell them you know it's a bit of an odd question but most places should tell you honestly which vet they think is the "best" in town.
