Is it safe for a dog to eat strawberries?

My mother-in-law likes to feed my dog chocolate covered strawberries and I was wondering if the cherries could cause my dog (poodle) to get diarrhea or something. Is it okay?

Everytime you feed your dog something new it make cause it to get diarrhea.

Is it Chocolate covered Strawberries or Cherries, is she feeding both fruits to your dog? Strawberries without the Chocolate is fine...Cherries have pits so they are not safe. If your talking about Maraschino Cherries, they are full of red dye & sugar so no not good either! Tell your mother in law to leave the feeding of YOUR dog up to YOU and feed herself instead!
