does chocolate really kill dogs?

my boyfriend got on to me for giving his dog chocolate he says it kills them?

I don't know about kill, but it is very bad for them, maybe too much could kill

Yes, it can. Not all dogs, not in all cases. The really pure European chocolate is worse for them, but American chocolate isn't good either. Don't do it.

No.. it will not KILL dogs unless you gave it a diet of chocolate. It is just that chocolate is not good for dogs as they can not digest chocolate as humans do and it interferes with that digestive system.
