    • Well it depends on how much and what kind. Dark Chocolate and Bakers Chocolate is the most deadly to dogs. But milk chocolate can kill a dog also, but you would need to give a dog ALOT more. Yes it can definately kill a dog.

    • There is a toxin in chocolate that dogs do not digest well, but my dog has gotten into chocolate and had no more serious problem than diarrhea. It depends on the size of the dog and the dog's tolerance to the toxin. Just try to avoid it, but yes it is possible for a dog to die from chocolate poisoning.

    • Yes it is true. They might not die but certainly get ill. But its toxic for everybody so it wont harm a dog if it has a bit of chocolate but dont give a dog a whole bar. Grapes are also toxic for dog so dont give dogs lots of them.

    • If they are given too much of it, yes it can eventually kill them.. Chocolate is not good for dogs by no means.. But if they "accidentally" get a hold of a tiny piece, then it wont harm them.. It might upset their tummy a little.. But do not give your dog chocolate at all.. Don't even leave any out where they might get a hold of it.. Accidents happen, but you can help avoid them..

    • no the dog will not die. it is hard for their liver to filter unlike a human.if a dog gets a hold of a lot of chocolate though it is possible for the dog to get very sick and if not cared for possible death.

    • Chocolate contains theobromine, an alkaloid that dogs can't digest. Every dog is different though, so some won't be affected by it while others get very sick. Don't ever give a dog chocolate because you never know how it will affect your dog.

    • The truth is chocolate contains theobromine that is toxic to dogs in sufficient quantities. It is a xanthine compound in the same family of caffeine.Toxic levelsThe good news is that it takes, on average, a fairly large amount of theobromine, 100-150 mg per pound of your animal, to cause a toxic reaction. Although there are variables to consider like the individual sensitivity, animal size and chocolate concentration.

    • Yes, chocolate can be toxic to dogs. Baking chocolate and dark chocolate are the most dangerous – but milk chocolate can also be toxic if your canine ingests enough. Although chocolate is one of the best known human foods that is poisonous to dogs, please remember to be careful of others…like raisins. My miniature schnauzer almost died from eating raisins earlier this year. Here’s a good article to read http://www.dog-health-info.net/raisin-toxicity.html Good luck!Nickihttp://dog-health-info.net

    • Ahhhhhhhhh...... this question again........I love to answer these questionsFirst off, it depends how much chocolate a dog eats, if it eats a tiny little bit, then there is more of a chance of it living than dieing. If it eats a bigger amount, oh lets say like a half of a 1/2 cup. then yes it could die. It all depends how much chocolate you give them. Dark Chocolate and Bakers Chocolate is most deadly to dogs
