Have you ever called the vet in a panic over something your dog ate to only have them laugh at you?
My dog licked chocolate out of a cup and I called the vet and asked if I should bring him in and they laughed and said it was ok because it wasn't a lot of chocolate.

No, I have never done that.Sure, it probably wasn't a big deal, but I would not be happy with a vet that laughed at me because I was concerned with the well-being of my pet.
dont worry.. many people hear the myths of dogs eating chocolate my dog is 8 YEARS OLD and has had least had many bars of chocolate...but i dont recomend you feeding them...its ok eating a tiny bit of chocolate wont poisen your dog, and dont worry u didnt know so if i were you i would just say srew the vet and move on with your life
If my vet ever laughed at me I would be mad, but I worked for a vet so I know what to expect and I only really call in an emergancy if I think there is something wrong. They are there to help you, you are a patient (in a sense, your dog is the patient but your the owner so that makes you the patient).
No, but then again we've never really called for anything like that. Honestly, if my vet laughed at me, like actually laughed and was blowing me off as though it was nothing when I was in a panic, I would find a new vet. That's wrong of him to laugh at you for being concerned of the health of your vet. Sure, it wasn't a big deal, but at the least he could be genuine and tell you that there was nothing to worry about and will be fine in a calm and reassuring manner, not him laughing at you.If you like your vet, stick with him. But if you've doubted him before or don't like his service, then I would suggest getting a new vet.Good luck!
No, but I can understand that they aren't alarmed. It was rude though to laugh at you because you're just looking out for your dog and you don't know unless you ask.
My tiny tea-cup chihuahua was tearing at something that had come out of her vagina, I frantically called the vet only to have him laugh and say that was a birthing sack that the pups are in to help prevent injuries to the pups
