We took in a dog this evening and she seemed to be doing ok at first. She played a little bit with our other dogs, but after about ten minutes she started getting all tensed up and became non responsive. We took her from our neighbors because there has been bone chilling temperatures and they have been leaving her out in the cold for the past 3 days and nights. Do you think she may have had a seizure or could it have been something related to being out in the cold?

You should take your dog to the vet and see if there is any underlying curable health issues that are going on.

    • She needs to be taken to the vet. Without a proper examination and a thorough investigation of her symptoms, it is impossible to tell what the unresponsiveness is due to. She could have hypothermia, or she could be epileptic. She needs medical attention, and soon.
