My Dog ate a whole box of Chocolate mints, will he get sick?

I own two shitzu dogs, one of them (he's not all there) decided to have a jolly old day and ate a whole box of Chocolate mints.My dad says he has a Stomach of Iron, so he thinks he will not get extremily sick, my Mother knows he will be sh*tting all over the place, but i am extremily worried about him.Should I be worring?

Chocolate has theobromine in it which can kill a dog. Call the vet ASAP...

Chocolate is toxic to dogs. If he had just a little bit, he'd be ok, but if he ate a whole box you should take him to the vet.

He should be ok but it does cause terrible sh*ts. He'll have an accident in the house for sure.

This isn't the best place to be asking about that. I have heard that having to much chocolate can hurt a dog. The best place to turn to would be a vet. And your mom is right if he does get sick he will be sh*itting all over the place lol.

odds are he will get sick, Just how sick i dont know you may want to take the box and the dog to the vet so he can figure out just how much the dog ate and what to do to counter act if it gets sick from it.

Keep an eye on him...if he starts having any problems take him to the vet. Chocolate can be toxic to dogs, but as your dad said, some dogs seem to be able to eat anything and not have it affect them.

Yes, you should be worried. Chocolate can cause a fatal reaction in dogs. You need to get your dog to vomit before he has a chance to digest it. If this was recently, Get him to swallow 1-2 Tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting.If it has been awhile, I would get him to the vet pronto.

Chocolate is toxic for dogs (& birds) & can cause brain damage & can be fatal. I know of someone who came home to a dead dog that got into the cocoa. Get him to the vet!

He might die...chocolate is poisonous to dogs.You should probably get a stomach pump, unless it has been a few hours since the chocolate was eaten, in which case, you can only wait...
