You could try sprinkling pepper in your yard. That way when the dog goes to sniff it, it will make him sneeze a bunch and then maybe if he does it enough times, he wont go in your yard anymore.

Take empty milk jugs and fill them with water, place them about 10ft apart down the connecting property line. They will be ugly but about a month later you can get rid of them and the dog should still stay out. I have no idea why this works but it does, an old farmer taught me it, he did it because his wife was gonna shoot his dog for getting in her flower beds.
