Cyst on paw of my Rottweiler?

My Rottweiler has a small bump at the base of each paw he keeps biteing. Xrays negative for cancer. What are cysts and what can I do about them. Cynthia.

Xrays for cancer??? How about a biopsy? No fine needle aspirates I guess? The vet takes a sample of the content of the cyst and looks at it under the microscope to identify what is causing the cysts. You need to either go back to that vet and get him rechecked or go to a different vet.There are too many things that cause cysts for anyone to be able to tell you what's causing your dog's problem.(Seriously, who x-rays a cyst? If anyone knows anything, I would listen.)
