Why does my dog drag his privates across the floor all the time?

My Olde Boston Bulldog loves to stretch out and drag his man goods across the carpet. He will just stretch out and wiggle all the way across the room. Is this normal? He doesn't seem to have any visible rashes or anything that i can see. Stan S - you mentioned a good point, he isn't fixed yet. so i'm thinking its probably that he is in heat, i never thought about it.Also, it's not his butt that he drags, he's done that before occasionally outside.

he has probably seen your dad/brother/boyfriend do it and is just copying

He might have worms. That would make his rear end very itchy. He could also have overly-full anal glands. Those also cause discomfort in that area. you should check his poop for little white, rice-sized things. Those would appear if he had worms. If those aren't present, I would suggest taking him to a groomer or Vet to empty his anal sacks which can become filled and itch.

Does he do this after he comes in after going to the restroomIf so he might just be wipping his bottom.

he is itchy... maybe flees if he is a real hairy animal..... or maybe it just feels good to him... i meen youve touched youreself... admit it you have... is it so wrong for a dog to do that!!!

It either gives him pleasure or he has fleas on his butt. probably the fleas.

he might have some kind of worm, or bugs crawling on his butt or something
