How do you treat a dog like a dog and not a baby?

I want to make sure that i treat my dog like a dog and not a baby. What should i not do with her? I play fight with her often, i'll lay down by her and she stays on her bed in my room. What stuff should i do to insure she is treated like a dog and not a baby

Just think for a moment that you are being broadcasted live on TV and what will you do now with your dog?? i hope you get it...take him in the open,give it a stick to play with..and all dog things..staying too close to dogs may bring you diseases.

Do the usual dog things- Give her treats, teach her tricks, play fetch, go for walks. Normal things Just don't put it in strollers, paint nails, and dress up.Sound like you treat her well ( she also might like dog parks ) Good Luck!

First off all I want to get the big issue out of the way. Don't play fight with your dog unless you know how to do it correctly other wise this can turn into a dominance struggle which you don't want.It is actually very easy just understand that dogs view the world through the eyes of canines not cats or birds or humans. Don't give attention when they are exited, scared, winning est. it will only nurture those behaviors. Only give attention when the dog is calm and submissive. Don't do anything for your dog if she made you do it. When you do something for your dog it has to be on your terms.finally learn to be calm and assertive animals cant read your mind but your body language gives off what is going on in your mind and that's what they pick up on and remember rules, exercise, discipline and then affection in that order is necessary to raze a happy and mentally sound dog.
