why does my dog scoot his butt across the grass?

i was outside walking the dogs, so then i walk into the backyard to walk the little dog tht needs a leash. 5 minutes later, the boxer runs down the steps and scoots his butt across the ground really fast. i thought he fell off the stairs and broke his leg!!! after he went to the batroom, he scratched the ground up really hard. he always scratches it, but this time he scratched till he made a big hole in the ground.

Why do you use toilet paper? (also might have worms but dogs do love to rub their bottom on carpets and grass haha):p also Ur dog sounds like a kitty cause cats scratch the litter box to cover up their mess, guess dogs do to :p

he might just like the feeling... my dog does the same cause i have hard wood floors

my dog used to do that alot, and he then a big bump came on the side of his butthole we took him to the vet and he ended up getting surgery. i dont know if this is the same case, but i suggest going to the vet.

Umm He probably has this thing called Worms they crawl in their poop and It needs to be treated by a vet for some anti worm food that they can eat.
