Why does my dog not react to mirrors, but he does react to his reflection on other surfaces?
If my dog sees his reflection in a mirror, he looks away and takes no notice. But if he sees his reflection on a polished surface or glass window, he reacts to it, thinking it is another dog. Why is this so?

LOL! Who knows why our dogs do things like this...maybe he recognizes himself in the mirror, but the less clear images give him the creeps. I'm stil trying to figure out why one of my dogs has no problem with gunfire, fireworks,storms, etc., yet HATES the dishwasher in our new house. I guess they can just be quirky, just like us.
hahaa!! maybe your dog cant see the mirror very well because dogs cant see as well as humans can. likee brownnn is easier for him too see LOL... imm not suree about the glass window thoughh. or maybe he sees u in the mirror and thinks its okay lol uhmm well hope this helped
LOL- my dog reacts to reflective surfaces too but he seems to know its coming from a light. He is also obsessive of laser pointers...you may want to try- great way to exercise your dog.
