    • You might want to crate train your dog or restrict its access to the kitchen (a pet gate would work wonders). Because you are sleeping when she acts out, there's no way to correct it unconsciously.

    • My first suggestion would be to move the couch but if you can't then you need to remove the dog from that area. Is there somewhere else in your house you can confine the dog at night?

    • Either your consistent with getting her off every time she jumps on, or you try something that will always consistently correct your dog even when your not there. I wil suggest the ScatMat,The Scat Mat is a touch sensitive training pad which tells your cat or dog "No", even when you aren't there. PetSafe Scat Mats (formerly made by Contech) train pets to stay away from areas where you don't want them by giving them a harmless little zap. Put the clear vinyl Scat Mat in the doorway to a room, lay it across your sofa, or place it on your counters. The Scat Mat will remain on guard 24 hours a day protecting your important things from your pet. When your pet walks across the Scat Mat, small pulses of electricity move through little wires embedded in the vinyl. These little zaps come as quite a surprise to your cat or dog, who will quickly learn to avoid the area, often even after the Scat Mats are removed. The zaps are not dangerous, We used these for my own dogs, and it did wonders. Here they arehttp://www.awesometools.com/images/CT/ScatMat-Dog-couch-600.jpghttp://www.gooddeals.com/products/93/ScatMat.aspx?gclid=CP7M8vSrk50CFSn6agodpTQX_Q

    • What a cheeky little dog.I've never heard of the scat mat but that sounds like it's worth a try. What do you think she likes about the bench? I wouldn't imagine it would be very comfortable to sleep there. I was just thinking that you could remove whatever it is that she likes up there. If it was me i wouldn't worry about it, i'd just wipe the bench every morning and before i used it, with disinfectant. She's not doing any harm up there.
