    • Buy good dog food, a high quality brand that the first two ingredients are meat. Make sure there isn't wheat or corn because most dogs have allergies to them and they are nothing but fillers. My moms dog is a picky eater but loves "Before Grain" and "Evo" dog food, two of the best foods you can get. Also, feel free to add raw meat into their kibble. It's really healthy for them and could help your dog get used to dry food.

    • It's because you've gotten her so used to human food. It's a factor contributing to worsen a dog's health. Don't give the dog any more human food, and put out the dog food in a bowl. Your dog will eventually eat it when she gets hungry.

    • Um, ya, my dog got used to human food. But then I started feeding him dog food & meat(steaks, beef & other kinds). Don't feed your dog human food, cause otherwise it shortens their life-span. And also, it'll start making your dog depend on you.

    • Try transitioning her to dog food. By diluting the amount of human food and increasing dog food amount. Do it over a weeks period or so. And a healthy dog will NOT starve itself, even if it takes a day or 2... once she gets hungry enough she WILL eat the dog food. Good luck

Make sure she has fresh clean water also. Now here is the hard part. Under no circumstances should you break down and give her people food. It is very bad for her and could destroy her teeth. Also do not feed her wet food. It is almost as bad for her as people food. Believe me when she is hungry enough she will eat the dog food. You can buy her some tasty little treats like dog jerky made with real meat to give her when she is especially good. Following this will give you a nice healthy dog who is neither to fat nor to thin. Good luck

    • my dog didn't like dog food at first. I got him to get used to it by feeding him hand fulls at a time. Eventually he started eating it faster than ever! We get him purina 1 dog food he loves it.

    • Go to Petco, a local feed store or a local pet store and get Wellness Adult SMall Breed. Mix it in with her human food for a few weeks gradually working up to only the kibble. She won't starve herself so if she won't eat the kibble, just give her time. She'll eat eventually.

    • Hi i would try getting some canned food Alpo or Purina and mix with some dry food and some human food. Do this for a few days then add in a little more dog food and less people food and keep doing this until she is adapted to the dog food. She might always have to have a little canned food but that isn't bad. Sometimes people food isn't that good for them if they don't eat everything people do veggies, meats etc. So it would be good to get her used to her kind of food. You could try several different brands until she shows that she likes one. Good luck!

In our house pet food means raw meat, meaty bones and organs - this is because dogs are designed to eat prey NOT dried biscuits etc. Why are you so insistent of feeding processed crap in a bag? A species appropriate diet of raw meat, meaty bones and organs is cheaper and much better for your dog.
