To all dog owners out there, does any of your dogs develope allergy reactions toward Vaseline? Thank you. Would appreciate any helps.Sorry, I should've provide more details. I have severely dry hands, and I use Vaseline on my hands. Because my dog is allergic to nearly every frangrances, I could not use regular hand cream. We do all pick up and pet our dogs all the time, so just wondering if the Vaseline on my hand would cause her any allergic reactions.

    • UHMMM.... my dogs don't use vaseline for anything.. Allergies develop after exposure to something.. You can't be allergic to something you have never been exposed to.. If you use alot of vaseline on your dog??????? Then I suppose a dog could develop allergies to vaseline..Edit : Just the vaseline on your hands used as a cream isn't likely to cause the dog an allergic reaction.

    • You mean EAT?!?! Do you know what happens to a PERSON if its digested?!?!OH! How long have you been using this for? What I mean is, if it hasn't done anything to her yet...it probably wont. Just make sure you rub it in good :)

    • I have never used vaseline for pet use. I take my dog to the vet and let her prescribe a topical ointment.Addition:I would not think so, but if you are worried, try putting a pair of gloves on after applying the vaseline, 2 reasons, 1 no contact with the dogs2 keeps the vaseline on your handsBest of Luck.

    • why would you use vaseline on your dog?!take it to the vets if you think it needs treatment of some kind, its best to get a specialist animal expert to prescribe dog treatments.
