How to clean a tick infested dog?

Recently we had to put our dog outside for about 1-2 weeks due to having puppies in the house. We were feeding her and playing with her on a regular basis and never noticed the ticks, then we had the dog fed for 5 days or so while we were away on vacation. After coming back we discovered the dog full of ticks, we pluck and pull with our fingers, and give her baths with special shampoo and nothing seems to work, the ticks just WONT LEAVE. Any suggestions? I want my old girl back. =(

First you should get a decent flea and tick medication like Frontline Plus, Advantix, or Vectra 3D. Then you should take her to the vet. They will remove the ticks and test her for any tick borne diseases. This is VERY important as tick borne diseases are very common.

Get Frontline or Advantix, that will kill the fleas and ticks on her. Also, get her to the vet to make sure she didn't get anything from these ticks.
