    • Probably. They will need a vet in another couple weeks, so talk to them about it at that time. Most hernias can be repaired when the pup is altered. If it grows in size, seems translucent or transparent, or if your pup starts not gaining weight on par with the others, becomes lethargic or feverish then it will need to be dealt with sooner. You should be weighing the pups 2x per day and keeping track on a chart so you can be sure they are all gaining enough weight.

    • Occasionally, they can resolves themselves but generally require a bit of surgery. As long as they don't get noticeably larger quickly, just have them repaired when they are spayed/neutered.It's a fairly simple procedure but should be done because hernias can pose real problems later in life as they get larger.
