What is a good general cost for a set of shots for a puppy?

We are looking for a puppy and think we have found one, the owner asks that we pay for the puppy's first set of shots. We are not sure what the cost of those are yet, so we are wondering what a general cost should be. The owner claims the shots will last a year before he will need any again. The dog is 7 weeks old. Thank You.

And the owner is full of crap and you shouldn't buy from such a cheapskate jerk. A good breeder has the first set of shots already done before going to the new home.The puppy will need three sets in the first year of life. Actually in the first six months of life.

Most dog breeders will and should have the puppies first shots and deworming done. Ours didn't, but she offered, since we wanted our puppy to see our vet right from the start, she minused the cost from our puppy and we paid for it. His first shots and deworming was 55.00 and the second shots we paid 85.00. I'd be very interested to see what others paid.
