how do i stop my cat from pooping on the floor?

my cat nala she used the litter box all the time. but then i got this new kitten berlioz and he uses the litter box and then nala stopped using it. she poops on the floor. and now berlioz is beginning to do the same thing. can you help me? how do i make them stop pooping on the floor?

Get more than one litterbox. Sounds like they may be having problems with sharing.

Get two litter boxes and everytiem nala takes one on the floor.. lock her inside a kitty crate and splash water on her

try keeping them around the litter box for a while like closing them in near it when its about the time they usually poo on the floor. they should get the message and when they find out how awesome using a litter box is, they'll never go back!

Maybe two separate litter boxes. Other than that, getting rid of one of the cats might help...Whatever you do, don't get another cat... Cat People are Weird...

you need another litterbox, that ONLY your first cat can use, because what your cat is doing is basically giving a temper tantrum reacting to the new cat

whenever they do it pick them up n put there head down by it n sayy no n let them know not 2 do it ..do that whenever n they shudd stop

Get a second litter box. It's a territorial behaviour thing. Give the new litter box to the new cat and leave her with the one she's familiar with.
