    • That is NOT normal as it's a deformity, which is not uncommon in Back Yard Bred Basset Hounds. In fact, I use to have a Basset with that exact deformity, and I bought him for $60.00 off of Craigslist just to get him out of a hell hole of a house with terrible conditions. I wish I could have bought the whole litter and re-homed them myself, but I'm just getting too old to deal with a litter of 8 poorly bred dogs. One of the young puppies even had Cherry Eye.If I must admit myself, your puppy looks pretty bad, and if she starts having mobility problems, you should really consult an Orthopedic Vet Specialist. In fact, you might want to do that anyway, along with CLIPPING HER NAILS! They are WAY overgrown, and that only makes things worse for her already deformed front legs.Add: I believe this condition is called *Angular Limb Deformity.* You can Google that if you want to.

    • Your puppy is knuckling over. It is a conformation fault that is inherited. The breed standard lists that bone development as a disqualification from the show ring. You have a nice pet quality Basset that should never be considered for breeding and cannot be shown, but she'll love you for many years to come.
