How can I talk my parents into buying a kitten?

I have a huge Alaskan Malamute and my parents think he would eat a kitten but he is very nice and tame. Please help??

call your local shelter and ask if they would allow you to walk your dog through the kitten room, most shelters require this before you adopt a cat for kitten if you have a dog so most are more than willing. if your dog doesn't act aggressively towards the cats (which will be in cages), it's likely he'll be okay with a cat (although a big dog like that you might not want to get a kitten, especially if you're parents are worried about him attacking. a cat will be more able to defend itself so suggesting a cat might help convince your parents).
