    • I agree with previous post- don't ever leave them alone together.Pit Bulls have a very strong prey drive- at some points in time, your pit bull will see your Yorkie as some small animal that it needs to prey upon(it's an instinct of theirs.)Start from the beginning letting your pit bull know that he/she cannot be rough with your Yorkie. If you notice at any time that he does, you do have to say "NO" in a stern voice, and get him away, find him something else to do until you think he can rejoin the yorkie and "play nice."

    • Did you do any research concerning Pit Bulls prior to getting the pup?First, the pup should go back with its dam and litter for another 2-4 weeks.Where it is currently missing out on crucial development that happens in that setting.Pit Bulls tend to be dog aggressive and have a high prey drive. If this dog is required to be tolerant of your other pets, you've picked the wrong breed. Some Pit Bulls do well with other animals, most don't.These links are crucial to the success of your household and the health and safety of your dogs.Multi-dog home:http://www.badrap.org/rescue/multidogs.htmlNEVER leave your dogs unsupervised:http://www.pitbull-chat.com/showthread.php?t=2779The APBT and aggression:http://www.pitbull-chat.com/showthread.php?t=61486Responsible APBT owner:http://www.pitbull-chat.com/showthread.php?t=605http://www.pitbull-chat.com/forums.php

    • sorry but I have to say this, your pitbulls will eat your yorkie, believe me they wll, but if you train them together that might help, because by then the pitbull will be used to the yorkie, so good luck because you will need it. I feel for the yorkie.

    • Never leave them alone together when you are not able to supervise them. Even though the puppy may want to just play with the Yorkie, he could serioously hurt the little one by pouncing on him.You will have to quite strictly control and restrain the puppy from getting too rough until hea learns not to, but it can be done. I had both Yorkies and Border Collies together with no porblem at all, but I always had to carefully supervise puppies and never at any time left the Yorkies loose alone with the Border Collies, although they never showed any aggression or malice towards them. It is just not worth the risk.Ö

    • If the yorkie was there first then the pitbull will not hurt it because this is the yorkie's territory. Pet them at the same time, feed them together, take them on walks together, just try and make them do things together so they get used to each other. Hope this helps :)
