Feed him the same amount as you've been feeding to maintain his weight. Add a little bit more (maybe a quarter of a can) to increase his weight. Alternately, you could give him more treats to increase his weight.How "light" is he? He's underweight if you can easily feel his ribs and backbone. If there's a little meat there, I wouldn't worry.
