My puppy is in heat and she seems to be very uncomforrtable and whiney like she's in pain. I was wondering if there was a remedy, like a baby asprin in half or something that could give her to take away the pain?

Get her fixed. the longer your dog stays "intact" the higher her chances of developing breast cancer are - Canine breast cancer is very common in dogs that aren't fixed.
You shouldn't really give animals human medicines without consulting a vet. Being in heat shouldn't cause her pain; check to see if there is something else causing her pain.
Dogs in heat do not have cramps like a human period. She's anxious and whiny due to the fact that she wants to get out and look for a mate, not due to pain.
No you shouldn't & it isn't the same as humans. Humans shed the inner lining of the uterus which dogs don't do so they don't have cramps like us. They can be sore & cranky but don't need anything. Never give any otc or ppl meds without vet permission - some meds are very toxic or too powerful for pets.
