    • Chi poo. Half Chihuahua and half poodle. He's hypoallergenic and AMAZING with kids. Obviously it has to do with house you raise your dog, but mine has been incredible around children. He knows to let them pet him, never bites and especially with babies he just sits there even when he was a playful puppy. They are pretty protective as well... when I used to jump in the pool he would bark, because he though I shouldn't go in there or I wasn't okay, and when ever a baby was around and started to cry he would wine because he thought something was wrong. He doesn't shed either. Check him out... he's about 15-18lbs now as an adult... They vary in look, and trust me don't let the chihuahua scare you, he doesn't bite and he doesn't incessantly barkhttp://www.google.com/images?hl=en&safe=off&q=chipoo&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1162&bih=748

    • All dogs shed, that's a fact. Some just shed more than others, and those new "Designer Dogs" that supposedly "don't shed" or "Shed very little" is untrue. That is just a sales Gimmick. http://hubpages.com/hub/The-truth-about-designer-muttsHere are breeds that shed lower than others, they range is sized from small-large. I know you are looking for small to medium, but maybe you might find the perfect dog as a large breed.
