Whats the best small dog to get for an apartment?

I want to get a dog for my apartment but it has to be less than 45lbs and not considered a "vicious" dog such as a pit bull or rottie, so what do you think the best dog is for my apartment?

    • pitts and rotts are not vicious, they just have a rep of being that way, anyways moving on.there are numerous dogs that can do well in an apartment, but first you need to consider more than just your apartment. grooming, exercise, and personal opinons should all be considered.a pug, chihuaha, yorkie, would all do well, also daschunds, i've heard greyhounds too.

    • I have a MINI dachshund. She is adorable and weighs just 14 pounds. They are very low maintenance and do not require long walks or alot of exercise. My dogs loves to snuggle and is definitely a lap dog. After I leave for work in the morning, she curls up in my bed and sleeps till 2:00 when my daughter comes home. I have never had a problem with her as far as potty training. She loves people and is very friendly. Good luck in your choice!

    • I think you should get a Beagle! Because they're adorable and fun to play with. You just might not like they're barks. They're also digging dogs...But still! I love Beagles! That's your best bet. They're also only 10-30 pounds. 10 - 15 inches tall.
