Why would a two month old puppy just keel over and die?

Sounds like he got something caught in his throat and choked to death. The only way to be sure is to pay for an autopsy. Sorry about your pup.

I assisted on a post morton on a puppy & it turned out his left ventricle was thinner than the rest of his heart. He had the smae symptoms. He could of also swallowed something that blocked his throat & caused his death.

You have to feed him,check for heart-worms,he could of been sick.Don't post questions like that again!

thats sad ....im sorry... did he get his first seven-in-one shot?did u worm him?...it could be poison...i dont know though, when they are young their immunities arent very strong... he could have ate something that he shouldnt have..its hard to tell really..so many things could cause that to happen. and again im sorry 'bout the pup ...i hate to hear things like that.

Sounds like it chocked on something. Puppies who are sick will show signs first.

like it can happen to ppl, some just aren't strong enough to go on... take SIDs for instance... since u said it was a puppy from your friends dog, i guess you can rule out the possiblity of it having been sick when sold... are you sure the puppy hadn't gotten into something he shouldn't have? maybe ate something that killed him.... those are the only logical reasons i can come up with...

could be genetic defects from the parents dogs. inexperienced backyard breeders

He probably was either abused or he ate something poisonous

Could be an arachnid bite...spider or tick. They have many of the same types of disease processes as people. It could have been anaphalytic shock or an undiagnosed diabetic condition. It could have had a severe allergic reaction and died due to reduced air flow into the lungs. Some veterinary offices have individuals who can perform post-mordem tests on an animal to determine the cause of death.

Parvo virus.

Maybe he wasn't that good of a breeder. It happens allot in poor breeding when a pup just dies. Maybe poison?

Maybe he forgot to give it food and water. Or maybe he choked on something. Or maybe he had an allergic reaction to something. I could go on and on, but unless you have it necropsy-ed you will never know.

Omg...could be many things...including parvoHopefully he didn't infect any other dogs or puppy
