lnfectious canine hepatitis is a highly contagious disease, it's not related to the human form of hepatitis.lt is inflammation of the liver resulting from viral or bacterial infection.Dogs catch it by swallowing things that are contaminated, faeces, saliva or urine from infected dogs.lncubation period is 5 to 7 days, but can happen suddenly, the dog may appear well but be seriously ill within 24 hours.Puppies under 1 year old are more susceptible, but any dog can be struck down with it.The signs are, illness and lack of appetite, conjunctivitis and pale gums, raised temperature, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, yellowing of the whites of the eyes.Any dog suspected to have this disease needs vet treatment immediatly.Encephalitis is inflammation of the brain, that's about all l know about this one, but someone else may be able to help you.
