What dog would be perfect this type of family?

Big italian loud family, can deal with a little arguing here and there, big house, already has a dog, cat, fish and hermit crab, friendly, good to play with around little kids and teenagers, friendly around other pets. No budget. I'm planning on getting my boyfriend a dog for Christmas? What dog would be perfect for this family? Thanks for answering!!!

Maybe a beagle? A great dane? German sheperd?

Probably a bigger dog. Labradores are great with kids and adults alike. Can be trained easily too.

We don't know what the other dog is - that would help. I'd suggest a mutt shepherd as a general family pet, but if the existing dog is an aggressive type, like Pit Bull or Rottweiler, I'd say mutt Retriever.

I also recomend checking your local animal shelter, you might just find the perfect dog for you. One dog that I recomend not getting is the chihuahua.

I would suggest getting him a certificate from your local shelter, then have him bring his family plus his dog to have a meet and greet at the shelter after Christmas. Pets as gifts is a horrible idea.
