Should I adopt a 7-8years old chihuahua?

I am going to have a female chihuahua age around 7-8yo. My parents says that she will die very soon. and i should get a younger dog.. What should i do?

chuhuahua live up to 15 years but a younger dog might spare you some heart ache but dont get a puppy they are crazy but cute

Thats not true.Dont mean to disrespect ur parents but the average life span of a chihuahua is 14+ years.A lot live more...some of them can be 20+Just make sure shes healthy and everything. If she is, u should get her. If shes not, then dont.

Your dog will actually have another 8-9 years. And a dog of that age, won't have too many people wanting to adopt it. Also, shell love you a lot

Small dogs live longer then big dogs so she will probably live for quite a while. If this Chihuahua is at the shelter or something adopt her. She will most likely never find another person willing to take her in because of her age and will be put to sleep. I believe the average lifespan of a Chihuahua is around 15 years or so, so you will have a few years with her

Chihuahua's when properly cared for can live for a very long time. I wouldn't call a 7 year old chihuahua old, probably not even middle-aged in my opinion! I think its admirable of you for adopting her. Young dogs and puppies find homes much quicker than an adult dog would. You're doing a great thing for her.
