Hi Sophie,There are a number of possible causes for this, including thyroid, hormonal changes, allergies. This really calls for a trip to the Vet to rule out a serious health issue. If nothing is found, I would definitely try changing changing her food (gradually) to something with a different protein source as the first ingredient. Also, many people are wary of foods with beet pulp in them. I know I had a dog who was losing coat badly, and changing her food was all it took to solve the problem. Good luck to you and your Westie!
