What does it mean when your 10year old dogs eyes are turning clear blue?w?

My 10yr. old terriors eyes are turning a clear blue. Is her eye sight fading?

Possibly, your dog may be going blind, you should get it checked out.

Yes my dear, she is 70, she is getting cataracts, the vet can operate, but it is very costly. Take care of the old lady, shame.

Older dog's eyes usually start to look a little cloudy whether they have cataracts or not. But, you should have it checked out by a veterinarian. He could be loosing his sight. My 10 year old Springer's eyes are very cloudy, but he can still see and the vet says there are no cataracts, at least none to be too concerned about yet. But, I still have the vet check them out every time we go in.

Maybe everybody is right, but following my friend's experience with an English bulldog whose eyes turned light blue, she had to go to a dog's eye doctor who diagnosed worms in the eye. The dog went through surgery and afterwards my friend was given a small bottle with these tiny white worms still alive! Horrible! But the eyes turned normal and she was told that in certain regions this type of worms were quite numerous. I live in Italy and this happened on the Lake Maggiore!
