Don't wash your dog in alcohol!! Just get something to treat fleas and ticks from the vets or you can buy it in some supertmarkets from the pet bit or pet shops x

NO -- that would burn his skin horribly.You have to pick the ticks off individually. That's a pain, much easier to put a good name brand flea/tick preventative on your dog every month, either Frontline Plus or Advantix work well.
