Is it safe to put a turtle in a fish tank with other fish?

I have a fish tank and was wanting to get a turtle in the tank with the fish, is that safe to do?

its safe for the turtle, but in case you dont know, turtles EAT fish. so yeah.

Sure, as long as he has some dry land to get on, and if he's like my turtle, he will love the fish, as in eat them.

it really depends if you want to put a "water" turtle with goldfish it should be fine but the goldfish may become a snack but if you want to put them in with a puffer the puffers may nip and hurt the turtle.

The turtle will need a place to lay outside the water. They sell floating docks for turtles but make sure you get one that is big enough. They will also need a heat source so that they can heat themselves. Also, the turtles WILL eat or nibble on your fish. The turtles will eat the fish, the fish also need alot of water, and turtles need alot of dry land... its not the best idea sorry

i have to respectfully disagree with the answers that turtles can be kept with pet fish depending on the fishes size. I have seen young smaller turtles take limbs off of a fish larger then they are.the jaw of a hatchling can easily take off the paper thin fin of a koi fish.feeder fish are fine the turtle probably will eat them. but i wouldnt put my beloved pet fish in there with my turtles

It is Not safe for the fish because turtles eat fish.Its ok for the turtle because he gets and meal.
