What day bulb would best keep a 10 gallon cage around 80 degrees?
Which bulb would be better, a 40 watt zoomed day bulb, or a 60 watt zoomed day bulb? Note: I want the warm side around 80 degrees.

I agree with max, I use a 60 watt regular house hold bulb (cheaper that way, and does the same job) for my BP and her tank probe thermometer says it's 81.6 on the warm side and 75 on the cool side.
The question really needing to be asked is: What are you putting in it? For snakes, try not to use lamps unless it is a specific need for that breed, such as some of the arboreal breeds. For turtles, there's bulbs made to target the temps and health for them. For lizards, again there's special bulbs, but UTH's are better for a warming spot paired with a smaller spot bulb targeting the edge of that UTH area.
