How old should kittens be before they are seprated from their mother?
My cat had kittens on April 6th. Their eyes are open, they are walking well, but they are not eating solid food. I know I cant give them away yet. I am wanting to know how old do they have to be for me to give them away.

When My cat had kitten we waited approximately 2 1/2 b4 looking for home I suggest you keep them togher as long as possible A MINIMUM of 8 weeks. If you keep them long like abouit 10 weeks they'll be well sociolized. theres less likely chance they'll lash out when angry and they'll adjust to scary situations quicker. therefore no kitten will suffer from Seperation anxiety
At least 8 weeks old. This will give plenty of time for Mama to fully train them socialize them. Their siblings will teach each other that biting hurts and that's a good thing for cats to know!Be sure to spend lots of time with them and try to get them used to a variety of people -- including childrenAnd, when they are gone to new homes, please spay Mama.
