How can I tell if my albino hamster is blind?

I have an albino hamster with red eyes, how can I tell if she is blind?

You could shine a fairly bright light in her eyes, and see if she runs away from it.

Technically, hamsters are mostly blind anyway. They have very bad eyesight. Go near her cage and move your finger back and forth outside of the cage. Most hamsters will follow your finger. If she isn't very close to you though, she may not do this yet. Often, you can tell when a hamster is blind by just looking at their eyes. Blind hamsters tend to have dull or cloudy looking eyes.

Try and get her to follow your finger, or put her in a box and see if she can detect where the walls are. Watch her in her cage and see if she has problems getting around, i.e. she runs into things.
