What does it mean when a male guinea pig bites the female?

My male guinea pig is biting my female what should i do?he has been chasing and biting my female

I would put them in seperate cages or you are probably going to have a whole bunch of baby guinea pigs. He's probably wanting to mate.

well guys bite when they're hungry or when they want to have sex. Get them in a room with some food and everything would be ok.

I would say that she is in heat and wants to mate but maybe I am wrong. And maybe just in case, you should put them in two seperate cages....
