Try training him to not bark. Take some time, and carry around a bottle with some diluted(sp) vinager. Every time he barks give him a little spray, until he figures out that's not such a good idea.
Bichon frise/poodle mix... my condolences. a bichon is a nut job to begin with. my guess would be to crate the animal when it misbehaves. never hit the animal, this will only make it more aggressive in nature.
start trainingthe dog to stop barking give treats everytime the dog obeys your request to stop and if you want you can spray some cold water or salted water when the dog doesn't quiet down do it for a while and you will see results
Calm him down while the person is there, carry him towards the person whilst talking to him in a calm voice. Explain to him that this person is a friend and it is not nice to bite our friends. Tell the Person to stay still while the dog gets a smell of him or her. Now remember to do all this very slowly and always use a Soft and Calm voice.
ask the vet they ,or go to wal-mart they sale stop barking collors and also try a mesh muzzle also at wal-mart. they work good also my dog was the same way.
I use to clean for an older lady and she had a mini Doberman and every-time someone would walk in or even call on the phone the dog would bark non-stop. After about a year she gave in and put a bark collar on the dog and that resolved the problems all together.
1. have a spray bottle ready, when somemone comes over spray them in the face untill he stops.2. put him in a crate while they are there.3. ignore him when they come, tell your guests to do the same.4. when he stops barking.... give him a treat and tell him good dog. also let the vistor make a fuss.
