what is the age to neuteured a female kitten?

I have 2 kittens of 6 weeks old when should i get them neuteured ?

You can't neuter a female kitten. Only males can be neutered. You should spay a female cat after 6 months.

actually female cats get spayed. you can do it when they're 8 weeks.

I've actually never heard of a female cat being neutered.

It depends on your vet when he will do it, some will do it younger then others, I would say at around 4 or 5 mos or so. It's easier on them when they are younger

ive been a vet technician for 4 years ,the youngest we have ever performed a spay is 6 weeks.we generally encourage people to bring in the kittens for spaying between 6 and 14 weeks.

Rescue groups adopting out kittens MUST only adopt out altered kittens because sometimes owners are stupid and just don't get it done on their own.In other adoption/buying situations - IF the female kitten is absloutely NOT at risk of becoming pregnant - it is OK to wait until they are four - six months old to have them spayed. Technically, they are more developed and the 'parts and pieces' are easier to identify and they aren't at as much risk from surgery at that point.Generally, cats (male and female) make much better companion cats after they are altered - it's a win/win situation for everyone.

they say to spade cats right after their first ovulation, but for males im pretty sure right after they are weaned.

some vets will neuteur or spay kittens as early as six weeks now. I'd call the vet and find out when is the earliest he/she will do it.

i have 2 cats, both got spayed at 6 months. the second one went into season before though. Avoid that at all costs!!
